Behavioural Science

We conduct quantitative and qualitative research and run behavioural trials to help firms understand and address effectively issues that are central to good cultures and good outcomes; themes such as speaking up, wellbeing, resilience, inclusion and diversity – and all, of course, now in the context of a changing workplace and a changing labour market.

OUR THEMES FOR 2022

Our areas of work 2022 correspond to what our members told us are their main areas of focus and concern:

How can organisations promote fairness and inclusion in new working models?

Among other things, we are running knowledge-sharing events, working groups and a cohort study tracking firms’ hybrid working arrangements to better understand the impacts of these policies across a range of different outcome measures over time.

How can organisations design diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives that work?

Diversity and inclusion matters, both for an ethical workplace that cares about its people, and for the bottom line, but firms are at very different stages of maturity in terms of how to engage with the data they collect. In 2022 we are looking at this broad topic through three lenses:

  1. Intersectionality and data analytics
  2. The impact of diversity and inclusion statements
  3. The impact of employee resource groups
