03nov12:30 pm2:00 pmHow can organisational culture help support operational resilience? Roundtable discussion12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Event Details

A FSCB roundtable intended to explore the links between the operational resilience regulatory requirements that came into force on 31 March 2022 and organisational culture, sponsored by Amazon Web Services.

The regulators have identified the role of financial services firms’ boards and senior management as central to firms’ operational resilience policies. Firms have so far tended to focus on meeting the technical requirements of the regulation, and given less consideration to the role of culture in relation to operational resilience, despite the requirement that boards “articulate and maintain a culture of risk awareness and ethical behaviour for the entire organisation”.

Contributors to the discussion:
We will hear from Stephen Martin, Head of Security and Compliance at Amazon Web Services, and Gareth Truran – Director, Prudential Policy Directorate, PRA, who will talk about the operational resilience requirements, paving the way for an open discussion about what this means in practical terms for organisational culture and the role of boards.

Time and date:
12:30-14:00 BST on Thursday 3 November (with arrival from 12:00 for lunch).
