On 27 October, we held an event for Black History Month 2021, looking at what firms in financial services can learn from the sporting industry in terms of promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace: Proud to Be… Black in Sports: What financial services firms can learn from sports.
Attendees heard from a range of speakers at this event including:
- Carol Glenn, Founder of Next Racing Generation and the first black woman to become a UK race official
- Dr Paul Campbell Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Leicester, and an expert on the themes of race and ethnicity and local and professional football from a sociological and historical perspective.
- Chris Grant OBE, Independent Board Member of Sport England and a non-practitioner member of the FSCB Board
We are grateful to Parris Bell, Diversity and Inclusion consultant, for moderating this event.
